Qualification descriptor
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who are job ready and competent in a wide range of information and communications technology (ICT) roles and apply a broad range of skills in varied work contexts, using problem solving skills and effective communication with others.
They may apply their skills across a wide range of industries, business functions and departments, or as a business owner (sole trader/contractor).
Prerequisite requirements
There are no prerequisite requirements for individual units of competency.
Entry requirements
- Applicants must provide evidence of successfully completed Year 11 or equivalent.
- Students must be over 18 years of age at time of course commencement.
- Students need an appropriate level of English to undertake this course (such as an English level of upper intermediate or IELTS 5.5). Please refer to Nortwest’s student enrolment requirements for more information.

After achieving the ICT40120 Certificate IV in Information Technology, candidates may undertake a range of Diploma or further higher education level qualifications within the ICA11 Training Package, or other Training Packages.
